Lightricks creates award-winning apps - in the field of image, video and sound processing - used by hundreds of millions of content creators all over the world. Lightricks is seeking a creative, analytical Director of Content Marketing to help drive the future of our content across our multiple platforms and brand touchpoints. This cross-functional role will partner closely with our creative, marketing, social, product, data and engineering teams to expand the company’s content strategy and operations, ensuring we capture and elevate the best, most relevant and innovative content for our rapidly-growing worldwide audience and user base. This is a unique opportunity to play a key, strategic role in a highly-dynamic, fast-paced global company that maintains its startup culture. With more than 400 million app downloads, and a community of individuals, creators and brands that share over 500 million pieces of content every month using our creativity tools, Lightricks is leading the way people craft visual stories and express the world through their eyes. This position can be based out of our offices in Israel or London.

Responsibilities

  • Build out comprehensive content marketing strategies and develop a robust offering of content and content assets that fit evolving creator needs, and help drive integrated marketing activities across the organization.
  • Develop effective operational processes, bringing together different contributors from across the organization to implement a streamlined, best-in-class approach that guides content strategies and problem solving, while constantly optimizing those processes according to evolving organizational needs.
  • Implement diverse content marketing strategies to support and connect the way we communicate with different users and various stakeholders, supporting our expanding business goals. Map content plans that support and extend marketing initiatives across the organization, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for our brand(s) and why.
  • Own the content marketing classification and categorization workflows to best match our growing, diverse sets of audiences and use cases. Develop systems and roll-out best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Research, AI and other teams to ingest, organize, and elevate the most relevant content. Work with different content stakeholders to revise and measure content marketing goals.
  • Supervise the maintenance of content marketing inventories and matrices. Ensure the delivery and adoption of a content hub including high-quality, shareable, and unique content across a variety of platforms and channels.
  • Develop methodologies and best practices to collect accurate and actionable data on our content. Identify challenges and opportunities among target audiences engaging with our content - by product, platform and region. Research, evaluate and implement solutions and tools that help accelerate our content operations and decision-making (reporting, optimization, data aggregation, etc.).

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in digital content marketing, strategy and management.
  • Experience with both setting content strategy and translating that strategy into operational activities. Sharp interest in continually optimizing processes to meet evolving business needs.
  • Deep passion for visual storytelling and content - understanding it, creating it, consuming it, categorizing it, advocating for it and navigating the details to get the best version of it.
  • Experience in the consumer tech / mobile app ecosystem, working closely with performance, brand, product and data analytics teams.
  • Mother-tongue English and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and acute ability to translate complexity into succinct clear messages.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to function independently and influence key stakeholders across a fast-paced, global, matrixed startup organization.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of operators across departments, teams and timezones.
  • Ability to stay ahead of trends and adapt to a constantly changing digital landscape, strong familiarity with creative social media and trends research.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, globally distributed, start-up environment.
