Boosted is our latest venture at Lightricks where we are already delivering innovative technology that will shape the way in which small business owners can grow their brand through visual media. The London office is home to our SMB R&D team and we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to take on the line-management of our team of iOS Engineers based there. You will lead them both through their day-to-day tasks as well as through coaching and mentorship to support their ongoing performance and progression.

The London office is home to our SMB R&D team and we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to take on the line-management of our team of iOS Engineers based there. You will lead them both through their day-to-day tasks as well as through coaching and mentorship to support their ongoing performance and progression.

Responsibilities

  • Manage of a team of Engineers tasked with the development of our iOS app for SMBs.
  • Contribute technical expertise in planning discussions and assist with scoping and sizing exercises.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designers to define, scope and deliver software projects using Agile-style methodologies.
  • Define metrics that will drive execution for the Product and Engineering teams that will leverage them. 
  • Support and mentor your team to solve complex technical challenges in a variety of ways, including 1:1 coaching, pair programming, and code reviews.
  • Give regular feedback to drive employee development, and prepare and lead performance reviews along our regular cadence. 
  • Continually improve and build upon software development processes. 
  • Drive growth and development within your team
  • Recruit and retain engineering talent.
  • Establish a culture of ‘engineering excellence’ within both the Boosted Division and London office. 
  • Inspire your team to build great products - and have fun doing it!

Requirements

  • 5+ years line management experience, leading teams up to 6-10 people. 
  • 3+ years Engineering Manager (equivalent) experience within an iOS software development position.
  • You have Engineering Manager experience across other platforms/technologies - a plus! 
  • You have academic or professional experience in a Computer Vision related field - a plus!
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • You have recruitment experience!
  • You have experience writing SQL queries to understand performance.
  • You have experience with Google Analytics
  • You have expert knowledge of developer tools e.g. Xcode, Visual Studio.
