Lightricks is a company driven by its tech, innovation and good people. At Lightricks Research we are building the algorithms fueling the magic in our apps. To do that, we engage in state of the art research problems, find creative solutions and build amazing features for our apps.

We are looking for a researcher to lead the scene parsing effort for our apps. Scene parsing is an essential building block for many of the tools we are building, and which assist our users in their creation. That researcher should be able to keep up to date with recent developments in Academia and industry. The role includes developing state-of-the-art algorithms for a variety of tasks in computer vision, such as Panoptic Segmentation, Monocular Depth Estimation, Dense Human Pose, Matting, etc. The researcher should be able to understand both the needs of the users and technical constraints. The candidate should be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting applied research, keeping in mind the constraints and requirements of real world solutions.
  • Actively participating in tech transfer of new research into products.
  • Working with engineers, designers and product managers to aim your research to the right place.
  • Keeping abreast of new research developments in academia and exposing them to all team members.
  • Maintaining efficient workflows in your research process, using best practices and tools.

Requirements

  • M.Sc or Ph.D. degree in a technical field from a top tier university or equivalent experience.
  • Strong applied math background.
  • Research experience and familiarity with the literature in scene parsing.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and innovate.
  • Research track record including main contributions to projects you can showcase, peer-reviewed research publications, etc.
  • Highly independent and self learner.
