JOB DESCRIPTION

At Lightricks, we create award-winning apps used by millions all over the world. We’re in the process of diversifying our products to different platforms in order to meet the demands of our active users. We’re looking for a senior software engineer, with hands-on experience in building reliable infrastructure to be responsible for designing, building and scaling our state of the art cross-platform video rendering engine. As a systems engineer, you will be responsible for kicking off our video render engine, while taking chances and exploring new technologies. We’re looking for people who are passionate about the craft of software engineering - just like us. People who believe that writing code is an art, but can still appreciate the realities of business and can deliver on a tight schedule in a dynamic environment; people who are independent and responsible but are also great team-players.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the video rendering engine from scratch
  • Write clean, efficient code that is easy to understand, test and maintain
  • Identify and implement software engineering’s best practices
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Work with development teams on engine integration

Requirements

  • 5+ years of system-level development experience in C/C++
  • Deep understanding of critical production system concepts - performance, portability, reliability and scalability
  • Experience in leading and designing a performance-critical project
  • Curious about cross-compiling, benchmarking and optimizing code
  • Experience with OpenGL, OpenCL, Metal or Vulkan - advantage
  • Experience with graphics rendering and GPUs - advantage
